The Chiefs of Ontario has launched the “Who is She?” campaign.
It’s aimed at raising awareness of the need of a national inquiry for missing and murdered aboriginal women.
Regional Chief Isadore Day says they are working with police forces to get exact numbers and stats across the province.
Day notes a big focus right now is getting an accurate picture of violence against women in Ontario.
He says they have received strong support from Premier Kathleen Wynne as the initiative moves forward.
