A Winnipeg man has been slapped with a $2,500 fine and banned from hunting in Ontario for 2-years following a hunting trip north of Red Lake.
The man was spotted by aerial surveillance last October with a moose call, a moose lure, a high powered rifle and ammunition.
Conservation officers discovered that Barry Arnason had a valid licence to hunt moose in Manitoba, but didn’t have one to hunt on the Ontario portion of Sparrowhawk Lake.
Arnason’s firearm has been seized.
