A November, 2015 fishing trip on Lake of the Woods has netted two Winnipeg residents a $1,700 fine.
Brent Kruger and Cynthia Nault were fined for having an over-limit of walleye and packaging fish so they couldn’t be easily counted.
Conservation officers stopped a vehicle near Kenora and the two told officers they had the legal limit of eight walleye in a cooler in their vehicle.
However, a check discovered an additional three walleye.
Kruger and Nault also had prior convictions in 2010 for possessing an over-limit of fish.
