Winnipeg teens facing charges following traffic stop in Sioux Lookout

Two Winnipeg Teens are facing charges following a traffic stop in Sioux Lookout.

Late Tuesday evening Ontario Provincial Police officers saw a vehicle with a broken headlight run a stop sign leading to a traffic stop.

During the stop further investigation determined that the license plate did not belong to the vehicle, and neither the driver nor passenger could provide a valid driver’s license.

While the vehicle was being prepared to be towed officers located and seized suspected cocaine and large amounts of cash.

As a result, the two teens have been arrested and charged with drug trafficking and possession of proceeds obtained by a crime.

Both the accused remain in custody with a court date.
