Winter Road Conditions Still Top Of Line

It may be the middle of the summer, but winter road conditions are still on the mind of Kenora-Rainy River MPP Sarah Campbell.
Campbell is once again calling on the government to set up an all-party committee to look at improving winter road maintenance standards.
Transportation Minister Steve Del Duca confirmed that he will be updating MPP’s once the legislature resumes sitting in the fall.
Campbell says she wants the government to take a close look at the root causes of poor winter road maintenance experienced in northern Ontario last year.
She notes conditions were so bad last winter there were numerous crashes, road closures, and frequently treacherous conditions.
