Winter Roads Gravelle #2

Funding from the McGuinty Government will help to build

almost 3 thousand kilometres of winter roads in Ontario’s

far north.

Queen’s Park is coughing up 3.5 million dollars this

year, which will benefit 23 First Nation Communities,

winter road organizations and the Town of Moosonee.

Minister of Northern Development Michael Gravelle says

construction should start in January.

The winter roads link northern communities to the

provincial highway system, making it possible to move
