Winter Storm Expected For Region

A significant storm is expected to hit the Kenora area tonight.

Environment Canada says up to 20 centimetres of snow could be dumped on the area between this evening and late Thursday.

They’re advising you to consider postponing any travel until the weather improves.

Officials say there could be risk to pedestrians and drivers, and ask you to limit your use of the roads and sidewalks.

In the Dryden and Ignace area, Environment Canada is predicting up to 20 centimetres of snow as well.

In the Atikokan, Upsala, and Quetico areas, they’re forecasting between 15 and 30 centimetres.

Conditions are expected to improve across the region by Friday morning.
