As the weekend ends and another week begins, much of our area is under a Winter Storm Warning.
Hazardous winter conditions are expected in Dryden, Kenora, Vermilion Bay and Sioux Lookout with significant snowfall expected Monday into Tuesday morning.
Snow is expected to develop overnight and will become heavy at times Monday afternoon. Blowing snow will develop late Monday or Monday evening.
Blowing snow Monday night into Tuesday, especially over exposed areas.
Ice pellets or brief freezing rain may be mixed with the snow at times tonight and Monday in some areas. The snow is expected to become lighter Tuesday morning however blowing snow may continue most of Tuesday.
Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 cm are likely by Tuesday.
Environment Canada suggest we consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve
A Winter Storm Watch has also been issued for Red Lake and area.
