Two construction lobby groups are going head-to-head in a debate over an Ontario move to go forward on allowing taller wood framed buildings.
The Cement Association of Canada says taller wood structures will bring higher maintenance and fire safety costs and some smaller municipalities may be ill equipped to handle a blaze.
The Canadian Wood Council says the cement industry is taking a cheap shot for fear of losing market share and they are fully supporting the idea.
