Wood Supply Accepted for Idled Kenora Mill

Its an announcement Kenora Forest Products has been waiting years for.
The Provincial Government says the local sawmill, which has been idled for the past couple of years, has accepted a wood supply offer of 101,000 cubic meters of wood.
Minister of Northern Development, Mines and Forestry, Michael Gravelle says he’s confident that the announcement will help the mill open in the near future.
Gravelle admits the announcement was a long time coming.
Kenora Forest Products hasn’t indicated if and when it will be able to re-open the sawmill, but company officials are looking towards the spring of 2012, as long as markets improve.
