Margot Woodworth and her team of Merrill Kluke and Lisa Schmidt have kept a closely guarded secret since last September. That’s when the Dryden trio appeared before some of Canada’s top entrepreneurs on the hit TV show “Dragon’s Den.” Woodworth was looking for an investment of 73 thousand dollars for her business, Evergreen Memories. Dragon Jim Trevliving, of Boston Pizza fame, came through with the cash for a 30 per cent share of the business.
A sold-out crowd attended a Dragon’s Den party to watch last night’s program, with the proceeds from the door going toward Grace Haven. Over 5 thousand businesses audition each year with just 125 of those making it to the program….and only a fraction of those get money.
