Workers Rights Demonstration In Sioux Lookout

A workers rights demonstration is happening tomorrow in Sioux Lookout.
Local members of the Canadian Public Employees Union are supporting actions of those protesting at Queens Park.
President of CUPE 2141 Trevor Davies says Bill 115 doesn’t only affect education workers, but other CUPE in the broader public sector, affecting their rights to third party bargaining and binding arbitration.
Davies says it’s sad, but believes that they will get through this, and is encouraging those who want to know more to come out to the demonstration.
It is being held at the corner of Wellington and Front Street from 11:30am-1:30pm.
