Teachers and parents are being encouraged to offer incentives instead
of setting concrete deadlines to improve student success.
Renowned expert on student learning Dr. Jane Bluestein delivered that
message at a special workshop in Dryden.
Bluestein says School Boards need to focus on students strengths and
to stay away from promoting so-called “traditional thinking”.
She says students will be more willing to learn if teachers and
parents focus on the positive outcomes of what kids are doing.
