Over 100 teachers and principals from Northern First Nations schools will be gathering in Sioux Lookout for information sessions focused on literacy and numeracy.
School Success Planning Lead Frank Hovi says the sessions focus on giving the teachers the tools needed to help students succeed.
Hovi adds that the teachers try to incorporate First Nations culture in their teachings.
22-First Nations are involved in the initiative.
The workshops start on Tuesday and 3-days have been set aside.
