The World Youth Day Cross has made its way across Northwestern Ontario.
The cross, a symbol for World Youth Day since 1984, began touring Canada in Ottawa last April.
Since then, the cross has been going from diocese to diocese to help generate excitement for World Youth Day in July.
At that time, thousands of young Catholics will gather in Toronto to take part in an international celebration with Pope John Paul II.
Twelve feet high and weighing 75 pounds, the cross made its way from Winnipeg yesterday and made stops in Kenora, Dryden and Fort Frances before moving on to Thunder Bay.
