The Northwestern Ontario Writer’s Workshop is looking for the next literary star.
The organization is now seeking submissions for its 20th Annual writing contest.
Coordinator Jodene Wyllie says they want writers of all skill levels to enter their piece of work.
There are five categories to enter; poetry, short fiction, historical fiction, creative non-fiction, and the Bill MacDonald Prize.
Wyllie says they will award three prizes in each of the categories.
Wyllie stresses the contest was a huge success last year with more than 160-writers taking part and she hopes to surpass 200 this year.
She notes the campaign provides writers with an opportunity to express themselves and experiment with new ideas, concepts and genres.
The deadline to apply is March 31st, with the Awards Gala planned for May 4th.
