Wynne Alleges Conservatives Will Make Billions In Cuts

Premier Kathleen Wynne is speaking out about a Conservative leadership.

During the Annual General Meeting for the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association, Wynne talked about how a conservative leadership will affect things.

She alleges that around 40 thousand people will lose their jobs.

“Economist Mike Moffat did an analysis for Maclean’s magazine that you might have seen. The analysis found that the conservatives cannot deliver on the promises that they have made unless they make billions of dollars in cuts. A value for money audit is not going to cut it.”

Wynne says the public sector jobs will be in jeopardy.

“If the conservatives have their way at least 7 thousand teachers, earlier childhood educators and education assistants would lose their jobs. It’s hard to process but that means that 7 thousand jobs in education would be on the chopping block.”

During the conference Wynne also touched on her promise to continue funding for catholic education, and minimum wage rising to 15 dollars an hour come January 2019.
