Yolaine Kirlew is hoping to gain a seat on Council in Sioux Lookout.
Kirlew says she’s always been very active in politics and she wants to bring her experience to the local level.
She moved to Sioux Lookout from Ottawa in 2008.
Kirlew is a conflict resolution practitioner and mediator and her education background is in Political Science and International Relations.
Kirlew was a member on the Canadian delegation to the United Nations on women’s issues in 2000.
Her focus is on first nations issues, women and youth.
