The Dryden Wilderness Under-14 Soccer team proudly represented the City at the Fall Cup at the National Sports Centre in Blaine, Minnesota over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Dryden won their first game of the tournament, 2-0 over the St. Paul Blackhawks.
The Wilderness then dropped a 2-0 decision to the PIZM Wildcats.
Dryden advanced to the Semi-Final, where they played the Minneapolis United Samba.
The Wilderness dominated a good portion of the game but weren’t able to capitalize on their scoring chances, losing 2-0 in a tightly contested game.
Coaches Kerry Holland and Bruce Cook say they were impressed with their athletes and their tremendous commitment to soccer as well as their amazing progress and improvement they have demonstrated over the past year.
They are also thanking all of the parents who supported the team.
