The Dryden and District Youth Justice Committee program is close to operational status.
The initiative diverts youth away from a formal court setting and into a community-based program where the victim and offender come together to repair any harm that’s been done.
Coordinator Bill Hovi says the program is facilitated by volunteers, who will be trained this weekend in Dryden.
Hovi says they are trying to provide an alternative for troubled youth.
The program is a District wide one.
