The McGuinty Government is investing more than 28
million dollars in the first three years of a new youth
opportunities strategy.
The program responds to needs identified by youth and
community organizations, & will be implemented in Toronto
for the first year.
After the innaugral year, the program will be expanded
to include Thunder Bay, Windsor, Ottawa, London and
Hamilton.
The youth strategy includes funding to hire youth
outreach workers, creating pilot projects in schools, and
offering a summer job program.
