The Kenora District Services Board is hoping to work with area organizations and groups to improve the well being of youth in Dryden.
Chief Administrative Officer Henry Wall says there’s a lot of leadership in this community, so it’s time to pull up our sleeves, and make Dryden a really good place for our youth.
Wall says our youth need to feel empowered in order to overcome some of the challenges they are facing.
He notes they simply need more things to do and would like to see the development of a youth centre and youth centred activities.
Wall says the Dryden Police Service is already doing a lot of great work to address the problem and others have to help build on that success.
He adds it’s important to have area paramedics involved in the conversation as they see a lot of first-hand, front-line challenges.
