$1.1 Million for Local School Board

The Province will put an extra $1.1 million into the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board budget.
The money will go towards a number of areas but an extra $400,000 will be spent on transportation.
Chief Financial Officer Dean Carrie says they are still awaiting word on money for school renewal and other area’s but the Province has added $240,000 for a reduction in class sizes.
Total funding for the Board is $65.3 million this year.
