No Baccalaureate Program in Dryden

A proposal for a local International Baccalaureate program has been scrapped.
Officials were hoping to have Dryden High and Beaver Brae certified for the next school year.
Public Board Superintendent Wendy Parkin says the world renowned program will not be offered in Dryden.
Parkin says several people expressed interest, however the final numbers weren’t high enough.
Parkin says the Board will work to promote the Program and she hopes it can be offered in the future.
The Baccalaureate initiative will be offered in Kenora.
