1 Dead In Lac Des Iles Mine Accident

Tragedy has struck the Lac Des Iles mine north of Thunder Bay.
North American Palladium is reporting that at approximately 2 p.m. yesterday a fatality occurred at the mine.
The Company, Union, Ontario Provincial Police, and Ontario Ministry of Labour are investigating the incident.
The company says no details, such as the name of the
Spokesperson William Lin says inspectors have already issued stop work orders.
Lin says the first one was for the equipment and the other was for the location of the event.
He adds it’s too early to say whether the company will be facing charges in connection with the incident, meantime the company is providing grief counselling for the employees.
