The Town of Pickle Lake has decided to hold off on plans to shut off
water and sewer service at the Winston Motor Hotel for a week.
The Township says they want to ensure its doing the right thing before
turning off the service because of an outstanding $26,000 bill.
Meanwhile, Hotel Owner Boris Kravet has asked Municipal and Affairs
and Housing Minister John Gerretsen to intervene and grant an injunction or
appoint a mediator to deal with the matter.
Kravet claims the bill is not based on actual water usage and he’s
trying to avoid having to lay-off 15 staff and close the Hotel.
