11 OPP Officers Asked to Leave Pikangikum

Not much is being said about a situation between members of the Pikangikum OPP and the community.
Superintendent Ron Van Straalen says 11-officers were escorted from the community and left at the airport.
Von Straalen says he’s not sure why the officers were asked to leave.
The incident happened on June 30th and is still under investigation.
Von Straalen insists the OPP’s relationship with the First Nation is good.
