12th Annual Kathy Sanders Tournament in the Books

36 teams and over 540 players took part in the 12th Annual Kathy Sanders Hockey Tournament in Dryden.
The Girls Tournament was held the last two weekends.
In the Novice Division, the Kenora Storm defeated the Thunder Bay Canadians 6-1 in the Gold medal game.
Dryden’s Bert’s Towing Leafs finished fourth.
The Bears captured the Atom Division in a battle of Thunder Bay teams.
Dryden’s Guenther Flooring Flames took home bronze.
The Fort Frances Lakewood Eagles won the Peewee Division with a 2-1 shootout win over the Thunder Bay Magic.
Dryden Petro Pass captured bronze, with a win over the Dryden PT Cruisers.
In the Bantam Division, the Fort Frances Fitness Wild defeated Kenora 3-2 to win gold.
The Midget Division saw an all Kenora Final, with the Orange Crush claiming Gold.
The Dryden Elimin8tors finished fourth.
This year marked the first appearance of the Pikangikum Hawks who competed in the Peewee Tournament.
