Toll Set Up on Ice Road at Rat Portage

They say there’s no such thing as a free ride.
That’s certainly the case on the Rat Portage First Nation, near Kenora.
The band has set up manned check points at two roads heading into the community for anyone wanting to use the ice roads.
A charge of $25 a day went into effect as of February 1st.
There are also monthly permits for $50 or a seasonal pass for $75.
