14th Annual Red Lake Fall Classic Finals

Lots of big walleye went over the weigh scales this weekend as the 14th annual Red Lake Fall Classic proved once again what a great walleye fishery Red Lake has.

This year’s winners were a couple of Red Lake boys, Ian Cooke and Jeff Imrie with a two-day total of 34.90lbs!

Rounding out the top 5 were:
131 – Dan Cooke & Don Winger – 34.54lbs
10 – Joe & Terry Feriancek – 34.40lbs
19 – Duane Hell & “Mr. Walleye” Gary Roach – 34.08lbs
130 – Harvey Roche & Everett Hobbs – 33.52lbs

The big fish of day 2 went to 5th place team 130 (Roche and Hobbs), weighing in at 8.34lbs. The big fish of the tournament came in Saturday to Kathy Bumstead (and net-minding husband Larry) at 8.54lbs.

The winner of the Red Lake Fall Classic Junior Championship was Richelle Tetreault, who brought in a 4.00lb Northern Saturday afternoon. Richelle won $100 cash, a trophy, a jacket from Lund Boats, and another $100 that will be donated to the Lutheran Church Sunday School on her behalf.
