Dryden Police say a 16-year-old man is in custody after pulling a knife on a citizen on Government Road.
Police say the youth started to walk towards the 68-year-old victim on Wednesday.
Police say when the victim asked the young individual to stop walking with him, he pulled out a knife.
The victim then struck the accused, forcing him to flee.
A second call was made to Police about a citizen chasing the same youth who was holding a knife on Queen Street.
He was arrested a short time later after an altercation with officers on Whyte Avenue.
No one was injured and police say the youth was under the influence of alcohol.
Police say he faces charges of assault with a weapon, possessing weapons dangerous to the public and failing to comply with a probation order.
