An update will be provided tonight on the state of Town Beach at Farlinger Park in Sioux Lookout.
A diesel fire in 1988 at the nearby CN Rail property resulted in contamination and stained sand.
The popular swimming destination has been closed off and on since then.
The Municipality will make a presentation on the proposed remedial measures concerning the contamination.
The public meeting is being held at the Royal Canadian Legion starting at 7 o’clock.
