The Dryden District Chamber of Commerce honored the City’s finest on
the weekend at the 11th Annual Business Excellence Awards.
IGA and Camera Corner were named Businesses of the Year, while the
CKDR Marketing Excellence Award went to McKinstry Chrysler.
Central Restaurant’s Eva Dupuis, John Iwanyk of Safeway and Wendy Eby
of Wilson’s Business Solutions were named Employees of the Year.
The Fumerton family captured the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Andrew Skene was named Volunteer of the Year for his work raising
funds for the CT Scan Unit.
Peter Egli of Egli’s Sheep Farm and Peter Gillis of DMTS were named
Managers of the Year.
Taco Time was named Dryden’s Outstanding New Business.
The MNR Fire Centre received the Training and Development Excellence
Award, with Standard Insurance picking up Business Improvement honors.
Kim Blair of Steven Blair Contracting won the Woman in Business
Award, while Just for you Catering was named Top Home Based Business.
McLeod Chiropractic won the Service to Health Care Award and Michael
and Marilyn Bilsbarrow picking up Tourism Achievement honors.
