2013 Budget Close To Complete

The City of Dryden is in a position to approve the 2013 budget as planned at the February 18th meeting.
Mayor Craig Nuttall says the budget will be passed with some service cuts.
He is calling it a fair budget.
An update was presented at last night’s Council meeting.
The tax rate hasn’t been set in stone, but Nuttall says he’s still pushing for a minimal increase.
The city’s student summer employment program will continue to operate but will be scaled back.
Low level vacancies will not be filled as some staff move up to cover retirements.
