2017 ended up being a pleasant one weather wise in the Dryden area.
Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services says the average temperature for the year was +3.0, about 0.9 above the long term average.
Laidlaw says the mild weather was due to a warm winter and fall.
He notes winter was 3.5-degrees above normal, while the fall was 0.9-degrees above normal.
He adds we also saw a lot of rain in June and September, but notes it was quite dry after that, until the snow arrived.
