Plenty To Celebrate Today In Dryden And Area

Communities across the region are celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day Monday.

Councillor Shayne MacKinnon is the co-chair of Dryden’s Working Circle and says it will be a historic day for Dryden with the renaming of Colonization Avenue.

The Boozhoo/Memorial Avenue Dedication Ceremony is at 10:00am.

The pow wow will be live streamed starting at noon.

There will be a take away lunch at 74 Queen Street starting at 11:30am and Domtar will be in the parking lot to hand out tree seedlings in partnership with the City until 2:00pm.
