A new role for Kenora-Rainy River MPP Greg Rickford.
A cabinet shuffle has resulted in Rickford assuming a new merged Minister of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry.
The province says the new northern and economic focused ministry will enhance development potential and sustainability in the North.
Rickford also remains Minister of Indigenous Affairs.
His former Energy portfolio has been transferred to a new separate ministry, headed by Todd Smith.
