The Northwestern Health Unit says they have no new cases of COVID-19 to report Wednesday morning.
There are currently four active cases across the NWHU catchment area; two in the Sioux Lookout and one each in the Rainy River and Kenora districts.
The regional health authority says they’ve administered 1,035 doses of vaccine since their report on Tuesday, which means since COVID-19 vaccines became available in the region they’ve put 97,464 shots into arms.
The test positivity rate for June 28th through to July 4th was only 0.4 per-cent, while the rate since the start of the pandemic is at 1.06 per-cent.
One new case was announced by health officials in the Thunder Bay District Wednesday, keeping their active count also at four.
Meanwhile a first for Ontario since October 14 with no new COVID related deaths reported and 194 new cases.
