Miners Win; Ice Dogs Drop Close One

The Red Lake Miners are one point back of first place in the SIJHL standings.

The Miners crushed visiting Wisconsin 10-4 Saturday night.

Jordan Baranesky led the way with 3 goals and 2 assists.

Noah Kramps and Ryan Hunter each had two goals apiece.

Brady Harroun, Lucas Piekarczyk, and Rylin Philpott-Way added singles.

Cole Wheaton stopped 23 shots for the victory.

The Thunder Bay North Stars failed to keep pace as they dropped a 3-0 decision in Fort Frances.

The Kam River Fighting Walleye now have full control of third place as they knocked off Dryden GM 6-4.

Maxime Collette, Ian Kimble, Tyler Earl and Brady Frattinger found the back of the net for the Ice Dogs, who outshot the Fighting Walleye 35-26.

The Ice Dogs are two points back of Kam River.
