Drug Bust In Sandy Lake First Nation

Two search warrants in Sandy Lake First Nation have resulted in multiple drug charges.

On January 26 Nishnawbe Aski Police Service searched a home where they seized Cocaine, Suboxone, two firearms and about $11,270 in Canadian cash.

As a result, Police say 42 year-old Ronald McPherson and 37 year-old Krista Fiddler are facing charges.

Both are charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.00 and McPherson is also charged with two counts of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm.

Both of the accused have been released to attend court at a later date.

Sandy Lake First Nation is about 600 kilometres northwest of Thunder Bay.
