The Township of Ear Falls has received federal funds to enhance the Lac Seul waterfront area.
The FedNor funding totalling $58,418 will be used to construct a 20 by 10 outdoor pavilion to provide shade for users and protection from the elements.
This will allow people to spend more time outdoors and take part in social, community and special events.
The project will also help increase accessibility at the waterfront through the installation of portable non-slip, roll-up beach access mats to allow those with visual and physical disabilities or limitations to take advantage of the area.
The goal is to attract and host large-scale, safe outdoor events in Ear Falls.
