It’s graduation day for many high school students in Northwestern Ontario today (Friday) including those at Dryden High School.
The ceremony is being held at 11:30 a.m. at the Memorial Arena.
Members of the public are welcome to attend with seating available in the arena stands.
You can also watch it live at Dryden High School Grad
Kira Apland says she’s excited for a return to in-person celebrations.
“I remember watching my brothers when I was in Grade 9 and I really enjoyed the full experience. I didn’t really like the whole set-up of the individual graduations.”
Paige Atwood says she’s excited for everything today.
“I think the biggest thing for me is the past couple of years of high school, it just hasn’t felt very normal. I wanted something to feel normal. So, I really wanted the traditional grad.”
A march to DHS will follow the ceremony featuring the traditional hat toss on the front lawn.
