One New Forest Fire In Region

There is just one active forest fire in the northwest region despite the recent heat and lightning strikes.

It was reported late Thursday afternoon about 40 kilometres southeast of Kenora near Robinson Lake.

Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services responded with two waterbombers and a bird dog aircraft.

The blaze is at 1 hectare in size but is still considered not under control.
