Red Lake Norseman Festival Fast Approaching

One of the regions biggest events is only one week away.

Red Lake’s Norseman Festival starts July 15 and in-person activities have returned.

Organizer Duane Riddell says they are still looking for vendors for the three day event.

“We generally see about 3,000 patrons through the doors. It’s a good opportunity for local vendors, merchants and home-based businesses to come out, show their wears, listen to the good music and partake in the festival as well.”

Riddell notes, “We have a fairly large area where we host vendors. We have expanded that. We have an indoor events centre as well, partially indoor events centre, so we have space for lots and lots of vendors this year. We’re hoping to increase the amount that come to the festival.”

Norseman Days feature live entertainment, aircraft rides, floatplane fly-pass, fireworks and fun for everyone.

Riddell says they are ready to welcome the region.

“The community is very up to hosting the Norseman Festival this year. Things are going really well in the planning. We’ve got lots of events and things happening. It’s going to be a busy, fun filled weekend. Probably surpassing previous years where we were able to hold the event. Community participation is great. We’ve have lots of sponsors.”
