5 Days of Fire Activity for MNR

Ministry of Natural Resources fire crews have had to deal with 23-new
forest fires over the past 5-days.
Most of the fires were reported in the southern portion of the district
and were lightning caused.
The fire hazard has dropped to low to moderate across the region except
the Thunder Bay area.
MNR officials say the focus now will be limiting human-caused forest
fires.
