Nishnawbe Aski Nation Deputy Grand Chief Goyce Kakegamic is applauding an Ontario Superior Court decision.
The top provincial court has dismissed a Federal Government appeal to have the 60’s Scoop class action lawsuit dismissed.
Kakegamic says he’s pleased to see the landmark case proceeding.
Between 1965 and 1985, 16,000 aboriginal children in Ontario were removed from their homes and placed in other mostly non-native communities.
