A Struggle Between Dryden and Kenora

It was a battle to the bitter end but when the smoke cleared the Dryden
Eagle Girls hockey team came up just short against the Kenora Broncos.
A goal by Joelle Charlebois one minute into overtime gave Kenora a 3-2 victory Wednesday afternoon at the Dryden Arena.
Eagles Assistant Coach John McCafferty says fatigue was a factor considering Dryden played in Fort Frances 15 hours earlier.
Carly Brown scored both goals for Dryden while Melissa Calder stopped 29 shots.
The boys game also went to overtime, however nothing was settled
between Dryden and Kenora.
Scott Lund scored a pair as the Eagles and Broncos skated to a 2-2
tie.
Curtis Lambkin was in net for the Eagles who are now 5-points ahead of
Fort Frances for first place in the NORWOSSA standings.
Both Eagles clubs also earned a point for their efforts.
