A Thumbs Up For Sprinklers In Long Term Care Homes

The CAO of long term care homes in Dryden, Red Lake and Kenora says he fully supports plans by the province to improve fire safety at long term care homes.
Last week, the Minister of Long Term Care announced that all facilities would have to have sprinkler systems installed within 11 years.
Kevin Queen says he is in favour of anything that will help keep residents safe.
Queen says the homes they operate in Red Lake and Dryden are already fully equipped with sprinkler systems.
However, the systems will need to be installed in Kenora and Queen estimates that cost at 1-million dollars.
