Forestry giants Abitibi Consolidated and Bowater are
teaming up to create one mega company with annual revenues
of 9.3 billion dollars Canadian.
Abitibi President and C.E.O. John Weaver says he will
share responsibility with Bowater counterpart Dave
Patterson.

Patterson will be the President and C.E.O. of Abitibi-
Bowater, while Weaver will act as executive chairman.
The headquarters and executive office will be based in
Montreal, with a U.S. Regional Manufacturing and sales
