A big day for Wabigoon Lake First Nation.
Aboriginal Affairs Minister Kathleen Wynne is touring the community and is expected to apologize for past and ongoing flooding on the shoreline of reserve lands.
Wynne will be joined by Chief Ruben Cantin Sr.
The Province announced in May 27-million dollars in finanancial compensation for the damage but has yet to make a formal apology.
The flooding was rooted in the construction of a provincially-approved dam without the First Nations consent in 1897.
CKDR will be in Wabigoon Lake First Nation for the announcement.
